The garden behind Salon 94 was one of my first sculpture garden designs and continues to serve as a gallery for artists on a rotating basis. Blooming in succession along the garden’s walls, I planted black bamboo, fargesia bamboo, variegated hosta, taxus, and a variety of shade–tolerant plants. Japanese maples planted in my various Silicone Planters series were incorporated and the floor of the garden was covered in purple, recycled rubber tire mulch as an ideal surface for displaying future artists’ sculptures.
