I've been committed to daily somatic embodiment practices and teaching, in a yoga, movement, and meditation community for over 2 years. I've been practicing yoga for 46 years, and the last few years are by far the most integrated with my sculpture.
My process leads me recently to re-membering, in my own body, as I wander through my selfs. I can imagine the outcome of diminutive figures feeling like a forest, or being in a forest.
The contrast of translucent and opaque materials as casting materials, in the same sculpture seem right in my imagination. As does a figure that doesn't necessarily come all the way back together after casting the parts.
These are images of where I am in the process, a very alive part of the sculptures I feel. I love unfinished, unfurling, TBD...
